Skipton parkrun this Saturday 7th June has been cancelled. Unfortunately, no Run Directors are available to take charge. We’re sorry this has happened but given the small number of core volunteers it was inevitable that it would happen sooner or later. More helpers would minimise the chances of this kind of thing happening in future. If anyone would be willing to get involved with a view to becoming a Run Director please get in touch to email@example.com or come and have a chat to us at a future run.
Many apologies – please pass on the message to any runners or volunteers you think might be planning to turn up.
For those who wish to delve into the leg times for this year and previous years, here are the Skipton participants since 2003 (I think Rick has times back to 2000).CWR-2003-14
The hard work was over and the mud had been cleaned off the shoes for another year, and it was time for the presentation night for the WYWL, being held at the Copper Beech Club in Balidon on Friday 21st March.
A good turnout form the Skipton team, although some did get lost on the way there (Jayne,Michael) cough (Hilary) cough! 🙂 The food was great and once again plenty of raffle tickets were bought by our team. The results were announced with the following awards given to these individuals
Julian Hood – 3rd Men’s Overall
Michael Keedy – 2nd M40
Neil Maloney – 3rd M40
Jayne Butterworth – 2nd F45
Overall Skipton really did perform well over the winter finishing in the positions below for each category.
7th Mens Team Overall
5th Female Team Overall
3rd Vets Team Overall
5th Team Overall
WELL DONE TO EVERYONE INVOLVED! And here’s to WYWL 2014/15
