Trail Running Events for the Skipton Multisport Festival – Spring Bank Weekend, May 2026
As part of the fantastic Skipton Multisport Festival with The Brownlee Foundation, Craven Energy and Skipton Cycling Club, a series of Trail Runs hosted by Skipton AC, will be based around picturesque Aireville Park, formally the landscaped garden created in the 1830s by Henry Allcock as part of the Aireville Estate later owned by the Dewhursts, a Skipton textile mill family. Their house, Grade 2 listed Aireville Hall, is now part of Skipton Academy.
The routes will comprise canal-side paths and tree-lined grassy parkland and will be a mix of flat running with some challenging hills.
The races for Juniors will take place during the morning of Saturday 23rd May. There will be four races:
- Under 10s (age 6 – 9 on the day) (1k) at 11:00 am
- Under 12s (ages 10 & 11 on the day) (2.25k) at 11:15 am
- Under 14s (ages 12 & 13 on the day) (3k) at 11:45 am
- Under 16s (ages 14 & 15 on the day) (5k) at 12:15 pm
There will be an 8 kilometre Trail Race for Seniors and Juniors aged 16+ at 14:00 on Saturday 23rd May
The races are to be licensed by the Trail Running Association and will adhere to UK Athletics rules.
